On 6th March Miss Shaw-Kew and Mrs Bayliss took a group of year 12 and year 13 students to the National Apprenticeship Show at Sandown Racecourse in Esher, Surrey.
This event takes place annually and is a great opportunity for students to find out about apprenticeships with a wide range of organisations representing different employment sectors, from Banking and Money Investment, to the Armed Forces, Travel and Leisure.
The students found the event very useful, particularly for those that are looking for alternatives to Higher Education, or are considering a Degree Apprenticeship after their A Levels, and they came away enthused and full of ideas about possible options beyond Sixth Form that they can investigate further.
One student said “I feel as though the trip has made me more educated about the opportunities in my future, and has helped me to start settling on what I wish to do with my life. I’m very much more informed on the possible options, and appreciate how each company tried to communicate to us in a fun and engaging way.”
