Congratulations to our year 13 Head and Deputy Head Students, and College Lead Students for 2018-19, who are going to do an amazing job representing Mascalls Academy students across all years, and being Ambassadors for the School at our events, and in the wider community.
Honor Chivers leads the team, assisted by two deputies – Oliver Rider and Caitlin Pinks. They are supported by Lead Students for Earhart, Luther King and Shackleton Colleges – Mia Wakeling, Grace Baker and Juliette Vincent, who are also year 13 students and who have been selected for their roles based on their maturity, people skills and attitude to learning.
Head Student: Honor Chivers– having achieved highly at GCSE, Honor initially left Mascalls Academy to pursue her education elsewhere. We were very happy to welcome her back and she has had a very successful first Year of Sixth Form. Honor has a confident disposition and is highly committed to raising the cultural capital of our students.
Deputy Head Student: Oliver Rider – a conscientious and committed student, Oliver has enjoyed success at both GCSE and in his Year 12 examinations. He is strongly in favour of empowering the student voice and is looking forward to the opportunity to work with the lower school.
Deputy Head Student: Caitlin Pinks – having been home-schooled for her GCSE exams, Caitlin joined Mascalls in Year 12 giving her an empathy for the process all of our Year 7 students are currently going through. She is academic, articulate and committed to her studies and has lots of good ideas for how we can continue to provide an excellent education for our students.
