Mascalls Academy were delighted to welcome back our Year 11 for GCSE results day. Much has been and will be said as part of the national discourse about results, but we were there with them as they responded superbly to having every piece of work they completed being assessed for their final results. Faced with the most uncertain and disruptive day to day challenges for a generation our students have adapted to the situation in front of them superbly showing a determination, resilience and strength of character to make us proud, they thoroughly deserve these exceptional results. This year we have seen a fifth of all entries achieving Grades 9-7, 58% of all Grades at 9-5 and 75% of all Grades 9-4. An amazing 67% of students achieved both English and maths at Grade 4 or above and 42% at Grade 5 or above. Well done to all of you, you have been fantastic!
In addition and as a result of the exceptional hard work from staff, parents/carers and students we now see record numbers of students applying for our sixth form, we are thrilled that so many more students are choosing to continue their journey with us. We also wish good luck to all of those who leave us for pastures new, we are proud to know that you take a piece of Mascalls with you.
