Uniform is one of the outward signs by which the local community recognises and makes judgements about our students and it is important that our students present themselves in a positive, professional way that conveys a disciplined and well-ordered learning environment. Smart uniform ensures that all students are prepared for work both in school and beyond. Students arriving at school without the correct uniform will be sent to our Ready to Learn Gate and contact home with parents made.
We expect parents support the school to ensure the uniform code applies to every student in Years 7 to 11. All students are required to wear full school uniform whilst journeying to and from school, and whilst inside and outside the school buildings. The uniform should be neat and clean, communicating that our students take pride in belonging to Mascalls Academy.
Lost property
The loss of property and uniform is problematic for both parents and schools. We would like to remind all parents that it is a requirement of Mascalls to have all uniform clearly labelled.
To this end, we have joined the Find My Kit network. Parents can order Find My Kit Smart Tags, which, as well as containing the owner’s name, also encompass an individual QR code linking to the parents’ email and mobile number. These come as iron-on labels and also as stickers for shoes and equipment.
More info about Find My KitLost property can be found at Student Services or the PE Department.
