NOTIFICATION OF SCHOOL VISIT – Year 7
- Title of Visit: Year 7 visit to Hever Castle
- Date of Visit: Wednesday, 11th June 2025
- Students Involved: Year 7 History students
- Destination: Hever Castle
- Travel Details: Students will meet at Mascalls Academy and register in advisory as normal. They will be dismissed from advisory at 09:00 to meet for departure by coach to Hever Castle. Students will be back before the end of the school day and will be able to make their normal transit home.
- Purpose of visit: To consolidate learning about the Tudors, which is the focus of Module 6, and particularly why this was a time of intense religious change.
- Nature of activities: Students will get the opportunity to attend a private tour of Hever Castle, home of the Boleyn family, and to learn more about its connection with the Tudors. They will then get an opportunity to attend a workshop on Tudor History, as well as exploring the site more freely and enjoying lunch in the gardens.
- Cost and payment: The cost is £24.00. This covers the coach journey, access to Hever Castle, and the workshop.
- Confirming your place: To confirm a place for your child, please complete the consent form using the following link by Friday 16/05/2025. There are 52 places for this trip and it is likely that it will be oversubscribed. Therefore, payment details will only appear on Scopay after the closure of entries, with places randomly allocated and places confirmed via email. Please note that no monies can be refunded unless cancellation is made by the school.

- Required on the day: Full school uniform, packed lunch, water, a pen, and pencil. Hever Castle gift shop is also well worth a stop, so change / bank cards for this might be a good idea.
