The Head of Sixth Form, Miss Shaw-Kew, gave a presentation to year 12 students and their parents/guardians about applying to university and the support that is available at Mascalls Academy to students who are interested in progressing to Higher Education after they have completed their A levels.

UCAS Finance Information
Miss Shaw-Kew hosted an information evening on 3rd March 2020 aimed at current Year 13 students, and their parents/guardians, who have already applied to University, or who are considering applying at a later date, about financial support whilst studying for a degree.

UCAS Exhibitions
UCAS organise public exhibitions across the UK every year. We will be taking a group of current Year 12 students to visit one of them at the Kent Event Centre in Maidstone on 27th March 2020. If you are interested in attending an exhibition this year but are unable to join the Mascalls Academy Sixth Form trip, check out other 2020 dates on the UCAS website.

Degree Apprenticeships
Edward Enebeli, Leigh Aspire Programme Manager, gave a presentation on Degree Apprenticeships on 18th April 2018. You can view his slides here, with links to videos and other useful online resources which provide more information.
Careerometer
The Careerometer widget provides access to a selection of headline data relating to pay, weekly hours of work and future employment prospects.
The data are organised by occupation: simply type in the title of the job you are interested in and the widget provides a series of options from which you can select the most relevant to you.
